Weekly progress

This week I finalized the style of the music that will be the foundation of the soundtrack in the game. It will consist mostly of electronica and ambient and a militaristic, futuristic sound. I will try to encorporate sounds of gunshot and explosion hooks if I can. GarageBand is a very worthy program to work with.

I'm just finishing off some work on the main interface as we speak, so it'll be ready for the playtest. We've decided that it will work best as a Starcraft-esque HUD where the main menu is on the bottom.

10/23 deliverables

  • what you have done this week for the project
  • where and when you met with your group
  • what you are going to do for next week
This week I finalized the text fonts used for the main interface of the project, and I created mockup front end images. My group met in the lab last week, and then we met up online several times throughout the week. Next week I am going to take a look at the game and start forming the interface, and get a feel for what the music should be like. I'll make some quick compositions and then expand on them as we move forward.
